As an international association of scientists and practitioners, IALE and its members value diversity, equity, and inclusion. By including members from a greater diversity of backgrounds, not only will IALE better represent our global community, but our field will also benefit from a greater diversity of ideas, knowledge and perspectives. Our membership welcomes and values participation by all individuals, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, culture, ethnicity, gender, career stage, and socioeconomic standing. We foster a shared culture that promotes the goals of accepting, respecting, and valuing all people, and therefore reject prejudice, discrimination, and stereotyping. Code of conduct IALE sponsors events and meetings that are welcoming, respectful, inclusive, and collaborative. We believe that the best way to advance knowledge is through the open, free, and respectful exchange of ideas. To that end, IALE has implemented a code of conduct, which must be followed by meeting attendees, meeting organizers, contractors, volunteers, and all other service providers associated with meetings that are sponsored or co-sponsored by IALE. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eyeVfs3BFBciYxNXxHBaVJtMCEX8k1iu/view?usp=sharing IALE Diversity & Inclusion Committee The IALE Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Committee formed in 2020 to increase our formal efforts to improve inclusion of underrepresented groups within IALE. The overall goal of the D&I Committee is to facilitate a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and to increase inclusivity and equity within IALE so that all members feel supported and included. To that end, we aim to promote a culture that values all people, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, culture, ethnicity, gender, career stage, and socioeconomic standing. We look forward to working with all IALE chapters to achieve our shared goals of promoting diversity and inclusion while championing participation in landscape ecology for everyone.
